Low carb keto cookie dough is the perfect dessert to have portioned out in your fridge when you have a sweet tooth. 😋 It is easy to make, is tastes delicious, and a little goes a long way when it comes to satisfying the cravings. You don’t need to eat a lot of this to get rid of your sweet tooth.
The protein powder
We like to use protein powder in our dessert recipes, and that is mainly for two reasons; 1. Protein powder is much less calorie dense than almond flour and coconut flour. 2. It brings a lot of sweetness and flavor to the dessert, so we can cut down on sweeteners. Our go-to brands for protein powders are Quest nutrition, PEScience and Women’s Best.
For this recipe we used Cavalier Gourmet Chocolate, but we also highly recommend Lily’s Dark Chocolate Baking Chips. Both of these have sweeteners in them, but you can also use unsweetened chocolate that are 80-100%. Those will be even healthier, but also give a more bitter taste.
