Homemade Pesto


Fresh homemade pesto can be used in so many different dishes! I love to use pesto as a spread on our chicken crust pizza ๐Ÿ• It is amazing with chicken and zucchini noodles ๐Ÿฅ’๐Ÿ— You can add it to your breakfast muffins ๐Ÿง You name it!

You can alter this recipe how you like it. For instance, I love garlic, so I used two cloves. You can also roast the pine nuts if you like that taste. Have fun with it! ๐Ÿ˜

Homemade Pesto

Prep time




  • 1 bunch of fresh basil

  • 3 tbsp of pine nuts

  • 1-2 cloves of garlic

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 50 grams of shredded parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper


  • Blend together the basil, minced garlic and pine nuts in a food processor, mortar or with a hand blender.
  • Add the olive oil slowly while blending.
  • Lastly, mix in the parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
